International Yoga Day, observed on June 21st, promotes yoga's global benefits for physical health, mental well-being, and spiritual growth. The students of Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School enthusiastically participated in International Yoga Day. They engaged in diverse yoga activities, including poses for flexibility, balance, and strength, along with breathing techniques and guided meditation. These activities not only improved physical health but also taught essential life skills like concentration and mindfulness. International Yoga Day inspired them to embrace a healthy lifestyle, emphasizing mental and physical well-being through yoga practice, fostering positivity and relaxation and the acquisition of lifelong skills. Yoga is a spiritual discipline that connects the body, breath and mind. International Yoga Day 2024 was celebrated in Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School with great fervour. The morning assembly started with the Yoga prayer , Omkar chanting and various breathing and stretching exercises which the children did in their respective classrooms. Later in the day there was a display of Artistic Yoga by students of std. 7th,8th and 9th - they did Shirshasan, Garudasan, Bakasan,Vrushchikasan, Raj kapotasan, Skandasan ,Uthit padmasan and Bhadrasan. This was followed by Omkar chanting and Yoga done by students of std. 10th. Indeed it was an enriching and invigorating experience.
