Aishwarya Iyer was working on the theme: Science for Sustainable Living.
Sub theme: Traditional Knowledge System for Sustainable Living
Project: A Greener Way to a Cleaner Day

Aishwarya was working on the Project “A Greener Way to a Cleaner Day” which comes under the category Traditional knowledge system for sustainable living. She used scientific observation, experimentation, research, google surveys and email interviews to study the harmful impacts of chemicals present in the household cleaning products on our health and environment . On the basis of her research, she suggested eco-friendly alternatives like Soapnuts (Reeta), white vinegar, etc. as a viable alternative to chemical detergents and floor cleaners.
Heartiest Congratulations to Aishwarya Iyer for her tremendous achievement.
Rujuta Joshi and Rutuja Nene were working on the theme: Science for Sustainable Living.
Sub theme: Traditional Knowledge System for Sustainable Living
Projects: Tea Tablets/ Nuggets
TEA is a very popular beverage in India consumed multiple times at home, office, outdoors and during travel. Tea Kits are extensively used across India to prepare instant Tea.
Tea Kits contain milk powder, sugar & tea dips packed in multi-layer plastic pouches. These pouches on use are not disposed properly & pollute the environment. The contents also often spill during use, resulting in wastage ; attract insects like flies which being carriers result in spread of infectious diseases.
Product ‘Tea Tablets’ made by Rujuta and Rutuja using knowledge of traditional Indian cooking systems (used in making sweets) is completely consumable, environment friendly and hygienic alternative to instant Tea making kits. Heartiest Congratulations to Rujuta Joshi and Rutuja Nene for their tremendous achievement.
Advay Deo was working on the theme: Science for Sustainable Living.
Sub theme: Appropriate technology for sustainable living. Project: Workplace Extends, Environment Sustains In the lockdown the pollution levels were quite low. It was because of the reduction of vehicles on the road. Most of these were of office goers commuting to their workplaces. Advay's conceptual model “Workplace in A Box” aims to deliver the core and non-core functions of offices anytime, anywhere with convenience. It also tackles the stress problems through AI based monitoring, consultation and fake commute. The social interaction problems have been addressed by features like recreation centres and online café facilities. Thus, it makes sure that the working system is employer - employee friendly as well win-win situation for the environment and human beings.
Heartiest Congratulations to Advay Deo for his tremendous achievement.

Dream High, Fly Higher

"It may be that those who do most, dream most." Dreams often mirror the perseverance and dedication of an individual to achieve seemingly unattainable goals. It was a momentous achievement for Harsh Modi of Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School to be selected for the Republic Day Camp (RDC) held at the Rajpath in New Delhi. Lakhs of people aspire, but only the exceptionally talented ones are handpicked for the RDC and Harsh was one of the proud Indians to be bestowed with this honour. He was one of the youngest cadets representing Maharashtra as the Best Cadet NCC (AirWing) on Republic Day 2020 at Delhi.
The selection process went on for about three months. They were rigorously trained for Parade, Firing and there were constant eliminations. Sergeant Harsh Modi was a part of the Prime Minister's Rally held at Cariappa Parade Ground on 28th January 2020. He was the only junior cadet of NCC Airwing from Maharashtra India RDC 2020. He got an opportunity to interact with the Hon. President Shri Ram Nath Kovind, Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria, Raksha Rajya Mantari Shri Shripad Naik, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Karambir Singh, Director General of National Cadet Corps (NCC) Lt. Gen. Rajeev Chopra. He met Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh as well. Apart from being the best cadet of Maharashtra, Harsh also represented Maharashtra Directorate as the Line area briefer. He also excelled in cultural events like ballet, group dance, as well as in national integration awareness programme. Harsh had the honour of being felicitated by Governor of Maharashtra, Shri. Bhagat Singh Koshiyari and the Chief Minister Shri Uddhav Thackeray. The school has sent five cadets for the RDC of which Harsh Modi is the first boy cadet in succession so far. Director of Education and Principal of Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School, Mrs. Revathi Srinivasan is the pioneer and initiator of NCC in the school. She believes in motivating the cadets and inspiring them to follow their dreams and achieve their goals. Harsh is indeed lucky to be mentored by Mrs. Revathi Srinivasan and other faculty of the school. Sergeant Harsh Modi aspires to serve the country by joining the Indian Air Force as a fighter pilot. Kudos to Harsh for effective and commendable participation and noteworthy representation of our state and the school. Dream high and fly higher, the sky is actually the limit is proved by students like Harsh.
