Haathi Ghoda Palki Jai Kanhaiya Laal ki……. This chant echoed in the corridors on the occasion of Janmashtami. The little Radhas and Krishnas of kindergarten dazzled in their traditional outfits as they celebrated this festival with great enthusiasm. They mimicked the activity of “Dahi Handi” in which they did a pretend play of breaking the pot with the “bansuri”. Making colourful headbands, decorating matkis, story of birth of Lord Krishna were some of the other activities that were conducted. The children enjoyed dancing to the tunes of Krishna songs with their teachers. The festival was celebrated with lots of fun, laughter and happiness.
