It was indeed a giant leap for India when India's third moon mission, Chandrayaan -3, successfully launched onboard a Launch Vehicle Mark-3(LVM-3) rocket from the second launch pad at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota at 2.35 pm on 14th July, 2023.

In keeping with its legacy of creating interest in space explorations, Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School, on the same historic day, took up this opportunity and initiative of inviting Dr. Rajesh Ghangurde, Director and Head Space Program at Bharat Astro Space Corporation, to take us through the journey of the Indian space exploration program. The eminent research scientist expertly guided us on how we can be a part of the Space mission and have great careers.

The talk show with live digital experience of the launching of the space shuttle, not only inspired the students but it left them spellbound to the core. The most lively and informative explanation was successful in igniting a spark for space research and explorations in the minds of the young students of class eight. The session was a perfect blend of live relay of the scenes of the space centre at Shri Harikota, along with relevant videos of information about the making of the space shuttle coupled with step by step detailed information of each and every part of the making of this history.

The students who completed NASA‘s Astronauts Experiential Program was also awarded certificates by Director Education & Principal, Dr. Revathi Srinivasan and Dr. Ghangurde. The school received a certificate of appreciation, received by Mrs. Gladys Cabral, Mentor of the school, for being the partner host school for the National Students Space Seminar.

A very interactive session, ended with the sense of euphoria in the students when they witnessed the history and felt more than proud of India and Indian scientists.
